US Marshals in Florida led a missing child operation that resulted in the recovery or safe location of 60 critically missing children from across Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco counties. Operation DRAGON EYE included federal, state, and local government agencies, social service entities, the medical community, and NGOs. This operation had three primary objectives: recover critically missing youth, provide them with essential services including appropriate placement, and to deter bad actors exploiting missing child vulnerabilities. Recovered children were provided with medical resources, nourishment, social services, and child advocates. This was deemed the most successful missing child operation in USMS history.

The USMS defines "critically missing" children as those at risk of crimes of violence or those with other elevated risk factors such as substance abuse, sexual exploitation, crime exposure, or domestic violence. DRAGON EYE resulted in eight arrests, including charges of human trafficking, child endangerment, narcotics possession, and custodial interference. INTERPOL recently led a worldwide operation against miscreants that distributed child sexploitation material; last May the FBI arrested several child abuse suspects in Florida. Link: INTERPOL.int. Billboards like the one below have been appearing in the Sunshine State for some time now.

What in the world is going on in Florida?

Backwoods culture.

The further north ya go in FL, the further south ya get... as the saying goes. (And those counties are only halfway north!)

Hi Corky: My wife and I avoid Florida like the plague. We used to fly down there for either vacations or taking cruise ships out of Miami. But the gun violence and dystopic governance in the Sunshine State has dissuaded us of ever stepping foot there again. This unfolding episode is another arrow in the quiver of my argument.

As the great Roberto Duran once said, "No mas!"
