If China invades Taiwan, Beijing will enlist Russia's help to tie up NATO forces in Europe, the alliance's top official has said.

Why It Matters: China and Russia signed a "no limits partnership" just ahead of Russian tanks rolling into Ukraine in early 2022.

Western officials say Chinese assistance is key to propping up Russia's invasion of its neighbor, but Beijing has repeatedly said it is not a party to the conflict.

"There is an increasing realization that if China made a move against Taiwan, Chinese President Xi Jinping "would first make sure that he makes a call to his very junior partner in all of this," NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said, referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Rutte has previously branded Putin the Chinese president's subordinate.

Xi would tell the Kremlin leader that Russia needs to "keep them busy in Europe by attacking NATO territory," Rutte told The New York Times.

I still think that Xi, Vlad, and their Orange Pekinese in the US have divvied up the World between themselves... which explains Trump's desires on Canada and Greenland. Not to mention Panama, Cuba, most of Central America.

Vlad gets Ukraine, Georgia, Poland, Finland, etc. Xi gets Taiwan, various islands and nations in the Indo-China waters. Hawaii, if he wants it; DJT will give him that Blue State.

It looks to me as if China has been looking at Pres Trump's apparent acquiescence towards Pres Putin's unprovoked invasion of a sovereign Ukraine, and then China casting an aggressive eye towards Taiwan.

Wonder if, "How to Cannibalize Your Troops" is part of the training Russia will give the Chinese?

Or maybe the, "How to Sustain a Million Casualties Without Even Trying".
