Scientists warn that an undersea freight train of record-high warm water called a "Kelvin wave" could contribute to one of the strongest El Nino events on record later this year.
A Kelvin wave is carrying ocean waters that have reached 13.5 degrees Fahrenheit above average in parts of the deep ocean.
