NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D) criticized oligarch James Dolan, the owner of Madison Square Garden, one of NYC's largest entertainment venues, for his company's use of surveillance technology on New Yorkers. His Honor stated this invasive police state measure should be banned, emphasizing that surveillance technologies are "indicative of much that is wrong in our country today." Two pieces of legislation have been introduced in the NYC Council at banning the collection of biometric data (e.g. facial recognition), in public places across NYC. The popular and effective Democratic mayor stated that this draft legislation is "an important response to this kind of an issue." Fatcat James Dolan, who inherited his father's gigantic business empire, yucking it up with Andrew "AIPAC" Cuomo. Figures. |
