I wasn't aware that warrants were always required by law.

There are circumstances where ICE is allowed to enter.

And sometimes ICE must have a warrant.

These ICE agents are hiding their identities for their families sake.

These men don't need to feel threatened at home by some crazies who are obsessed.

The reason I don't always discuss specifics is because it's not the point of a post.

I mean....you start out by accusing me of hating Renee. Why would I hate her? Actually, it appears to me Renee was likely going to follow directions but her girlfriend standing there urged her on to takeoff.

And Alex, there were several men over him and they were surprised to see a gun. The man who reached into the huddle and grabbed the weapon did so in such a way reaching between arms, they may have thought the gun was still in Alex's possession. Alex had a long standing history of using physical force.

In both cases it was unnecessary to kill them and ICE overreacted. Of course we know that now. Hindsight makes everyone an expert.

Two things happened as a result of these shootings. First, ICE has likely been given additional training and the anti-ICE protestors don't appear to be so forcefully aggressive interfering with ICE agents.

That's my opinion.

They died for a cause.

I don't approve of their actions. That is what got them in the wrong place at the wrong time.

But, their deaths were not in vain, like so many are every day.

I won't discuss the specifics of those 2 deaths.

Who I believe is responsible and how they could have been prevented.

I will say I believe they died for their cause and their deaths were not in vain.

They both pushed the envelope and actually accomplished what they wanted to do.

You're talking as though every ICE operation is simple and risk-free when you really don't know what they deal with.

Every day they go into situations most people would never willingly walk into, and they never know exactly what they're about to face.

America already spends enormous amounts domestically.

The U.S. spends trillions on healthcare, welfare programs, environmental programs, infrastructure, education, housing assistance, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and countless other domestic programs.

The idea that America ignores its own citizens while sending all its money overseas simply isn't reality.

Are you suggesting America should stop helping other countries and only think of itself?

I agree with you and I have no answers.

But if the list posted in #8 is supposed to represent the Democrats idea of a solution, it doesn't appear they have one either.

A lot of ideas that are passed around feel more like managing symptoms than addressing underlying problems.

Because underneath it all, we still have basic human nature.

There is greed, ego, lust for power, corruption, jealousy, selfishness and the list goes on.

How much can be done while negative human traits are not only tolerated but oftentimes praised and rewarded?

How exactly does that work in practice?

Are businesses supposed to pay people more than what the job is worth to the company? How long do you think they'll stay in business?

And what happens if fewer people feel motivated to work?

Also, what exactly is a "living wage"? There's a big difference between surviving and prospering.

Do you mean enough to cover basic necessities? Or do you mean a lifestyle with little financial stress, yearly vacations, entertainment, and disposable income?

Because those are two very different standards.

I read your list, and honestly, a lot of it sounds more like campaign promises than practical ideas. Somebody still has to produce the wealth that funds all of it.

At some point the math matters.

That's a conflict socialism always runs into.

It still depends on productive capitalism underneath it to generate the money, investment, and tax base to fund the promises.
