There is a basic core of beliefs. However, some churches manage to even sidestep that.

All Christians are guilty of elevating certain scripture and ignoring or justifying the rest.

The irony is that Sunday Schools in most Christian churches are overwhelmingly taught by women.

Those kinds of rules simply are not enforced in most modern churches today except perhaps in the most fundamentalist denominations.

People quote the verses about women being silent in church, yet many churches function week after week with women teaching children, leading studies, organizing ministries, and often being the backbone of the church itself.

If public schools can find the time and funds to discuss gender identity, they can find time to cover subjects that are directly relevant to the real world lives and safety of school age children.

That includes basic gun safety and handling
and education about AI. Such as how to use AI responsibly, where it can mislead people and what kinds of topics should be avoided.

AI is becoming part of everyday life whether people like it or not.

Pretending students don't need guidance on these subjects makes about as much sense as pretending the internet doesn't exist.

If the boy had used a gun to kill himself, there are people who would blame the gun and argue the solution is removing guns from society.

But neither guns nor AI are going to disappear.

They are powerful tools that can be used responsibly or irresponsibly.

What society needs is better education on using both responsibly.

You don't have to worship AI to recognize reality.

The industrial revolution changed physical labor.

Computers changed information and communication.

AI is going to change cognitive labor.

Humans will still be here working alongside AI.

Technology keeps advancing whether we approve of it or not.
