  • People applying to live or work in the US will now be screened for "anti-Americanism," including having their social media checked. Immigration officers are to look at whether applicants have had "any involvement in anti-American or terrorist organizations," or whether there is any "evidence of antisemitic activity."
  • "America's benefits should not be given to those who despise the country and promote anti-American ideologies. USCIS is committed to implementing policies and procedures that root out anti-Americanism and supporting the enforcement of rigorous screening and vetting measures to the fullest extent possible." The Freedom From Religion Foundation is calling on Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick to retract a recent unconstitutional threat to eject citizens from the state Senate chamber if they do not stand during official prayers. During the Senate's Aug. 15 session, Sen. Angela Paxton delivered a Christian invocation "in the name of Jesus, who has saved us, who keeps us safe, and who is coming again." Immediately afterward, Patrick admonished members of the public gallery who had remained seated: "For those of you who didn't stand, next time you come to the gallery, you stand for the invocation. It's respecting the Senate. If you don't stand for the invocation, I'll have you removed. We asked you to stand. I've never seen a gallery ever have any members in my 17 years of people who refused to stand for the invocation. It will not be tolerated." read more

When 'Abdul' walked into a San Diego court to plead his political asylum case, ten veterans showed up for his hearing, unarmed, but dressed in hats and shirts to signify their military credentials as a "show of force." Called 'Battle Buddies,' they support Afghan refugees facing deportation. "Masked agents of the federal government are snatching up our friends, people who took life in our name and have done nothing wrong," said the organizer of 'Battle Buddies.' These veterans recognize the sacrifices Afghans made to help the US military, including Abdul who was tortured by the Taliban. But since the Trumpf junta has terminated many of the programs which protected them from deportation, Afghans now fear they will be repatriated into the cruel hands of the Taliban. read more

JD Vance was booed and heckled with chants of "Free DC!" and "From DC to Palestine, occupation is a crime!" during a photo op with national guard troops at Union Station in Washington. The VPOTUS was handing out hamburgers to troops at the Shake Shack alongside SECDEF Pete "Hic!" Kegsbreath and White House pit fiend Stephen Miller. Meanwhile, a crowd of samaritans protested outside and shouted slogans and expletives as the three juntists sauntered into Union Station and the restaurant. Vance bleated that Washington DC was overrun with "vagrants, drug addicts, the chronically homeless and the mentally ill." Addressing the rightfully angry people, Vance called them "crazy" and "communists," then whined: "It's kind of bizarre that we have a bunch of old, primarily white people who are out there protesting the policies that keep people safe when they've never felt danger in their entire lives." read more

A federal advisory committee of pro-corporate aviation "experts" is telling the Trumpf junta there should be only one pilot, not two, in an airplane's cockpit. European airline executives have been pushing their regulators for only one pilot in the cockpit through the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and they are lobbying the corporate-friendly GOP Trumpf regime to agree. Citing safety reasons, the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) and 43 senators from both political parties railed against this idiotic cost-saving proposal. US Senators Tim Sheehy (R-MT) and Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) sent a bipartisan letter to Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy, urging the FAA to vigorously oppose single-pilot operations for commercial airline operations: Letter to DOT. Nota Bene: The US is also facing a critical shortage of FAA Air Traffic Controllers impacting the aviation industry. read more
