-you thought all that food should be free?
Under what circumstances would I think that?
Do you routinely expect free meals?
Be honest ... ..

-Are you really this dense or just feeling like ---------- this evening?
It's definitely both

You're just pissed off because I understand this issue better than you do clearly
I only stated that a Christian falls short, but can still be a Christian even if you don't wanna call them one
And the only thing that you care about is how they vote
You're trying to convince people, including me, that it's about more than that, but it's not. It's not about one more thing other than how they voted and you're not getting what you want.
That sums it up entirely

-You just want an argument.
I seek out a disagreement on this place.
Otherwise, I have better ways to spend my time

I can appreciate that point and on a spectrum. I'm in the 99 percentile of people who hate to lose, but when it comes to national elections, it's not a game to me. It's all degrees of losing.
I probably vote almost entirely the same as you do in national elections. But I won't waste time demonizing people who disagree with me.
Tomorrow morning, I have to go see my accountant. After that meeting, I'll start to total up everything I'm paying in federal state property, and payroll taxes.
It's quite sobering. I don't suddenly turn into some rabid libertarian after that.
But as it was pointed out above ... ... I'm in "----------" mode

-Their actions in support of policies and politicians who support doing the OPPOSITE of what Christ taught is what bothers me.
Right, it's their politics that bother you.
If they stop going to church and renounce their Christianity, would you feel better now that their hypocrisy has been washed away?
Of course not.
You hate losing

"To my knowledge this is unprecedented."
"Guess you missed Kristi Noem moving into the CG housing, Stephen Miller, who sold his house and moved onto a base when his wife's fefe's got hurt by a woman, and Pete Hegseth moving into taxpayer-subsidized military homes?"

-She's not the first cabinet level official to do this.
Get free rent?
Noem got that as well ... .right?

We don't disagree on this other than perhaps where you expect people who attend church regularly to understand this better than others who dont.
Be honest, it's not their ignorance that bothers you, it's how they vote

"Trust me, I've seen it over and over. Look how fundies so quickly resort to the OT to justify wars (vengeance), opposition to a woman's right to choose (abortion), which, BTW, is the opposite of what you'll find in the OT where women who've been raped/become pregnant by someone else's husband, etc are urged to drink a potion to induce abortion."
Trust you? You're lecturing me on the fact that you've just now discovered that people don't understand the Bible, nor Christ teachings very well and it shows up in their daily lives and yes, and their politics?

-A government that seeks to live entirely on heavily secured premises should concern you.
A government?
I thought it was one employee?
You're thinking a single employee who moves into secured housing due to security concerns I something you're worried about?
That can't possibly be true.
Why would you want someone to think otherwise?

Is that all you're good for here? Sit in the corner all quiet and wait for an opportunity to accuse me of being a Trump lover when you know and everybody else who knows that's not true?
That is how pathetic you are?

"A Christian is someone who follows Christ's teachings and philosophy.....and fails much of the time"
FT
IOW, a Christian is someone who endeavors to follows Christ's teachings and philosophy. But they have good days and bad days.
I'm not excusing anyone's bad behavior.....certainly not Trump nor Bill Johnson, or anyone else for that matter.
Being a Christian isn't like being a member of the Moose Lodge and expected to follow the by-laws.

-But if you aren't following what Christ taught, you aren't a Christian.
Oh, you're still a Christian. A Christian who falls short and could do much better.

-Gas topped $5/gal all over the place out here
Enjoy California.....where gas prices are typically 80% higher than where I live no matter what else is going on.

Because it is government corruption but MAGATS like you don't care about that since you support the most corrupt administration in the history of the country.

If you and Effetetrumpvoter would prefer me to dismiss you as morons unworthy of even a response......then don't address me, ------------.
You're an insignificant twerp anyway. No point in begging for a verbal ass kicking from me.
Just leave it alone.......

-Why would anyone take the time to comment on this malfeasance if they didn't care about it?
I didn't post the article pretending I care.
I don't.
And neither do you.
Keep pretending you do if it turns you on.
Free housing for a government mooch? This is what bothers you?
Like hell it does.
-So, the better question is, why don't you care?
Because it's nothing in the big picture. I think it's silly but Trump spends more in a weekend than this might cost for 3 years.
Amazing how folks wear their lying and hypocrisy as a badge of honor.

-One such person is Andrew Veitch, who moved to California in 2003 " long before Trump's refugee policy began " after he was robbed at gunpoint in his home country. Now, however, he thinks crime is worse here: "People are being shot in broad daylight. American citizens are being shot and killed. I don't want to live in a place like this."
My clients hire lots of South Africans. They receive wages and a place to live.
But I'm not in California. No wonder they think the cost of living is prohibitive.

-This country does NOT need illegal immigration.
We need x amount of immigrants in order for this country to run.
Not sure of the exact number but it exceeds the number of legal immigrants we receive year over year.
we need them. period. If someone has a plan to take the number of immigrants, both legal and illegal, we receive and make them all legal.....then fine. Have at it.
While politicians, pundits, journalists, and internet morons argue about it......we'll continue to bring in what we need to plant and harvest food so we can feed ourselves and the entire world.
Which, BTW, is exactly what's been going on for decades and decades.
It's amazing how folks don't understand how the world literally works.

-I do want oil prices to be higher, for it to be taxed more over time to encourage people to use safer and more socially responsible alternatives.
is there any public support for higher taxes on energy to curb usage?
Seriously.....is there meaningful support for that from the democratic party?
Posted by eberly at 2026-03-09 02:12 PM | Reply
-Not if they phrase it that way. Too often, people use "taxes" or "federal taxes" to only mean income taxes They deserve to be corrected.
Including this democrat from Maryland. Quite frankly, everyone needs corrected when they make a reference to income taxes. Everyone fails to include payroll taxes.

nevermind....he's been relegated to "visitor" meaning he's been given a vacation.
I don't care about that.

I'm not that good at finding things here but I can't find him anywhere
