Normally, this would not be big enough news for us to write a weekend item. However, we had an item yesterday noting that people with advance information were saying the newest jobs report would be so-so. Maybe these people were working from a phony version of the report, like the phony forecast of orange juice futures in the movie Trading Places. In any event, the actual report was fantastic. read more
You may not know this, but some Donald Trump supporters are not exactly the sharpest knives in the drawer. We think it is fair to include 42-year-old Nathan Thornsberry in that group. He was a participant in the insurrection on 1/6 and, after giving it much thought (or maybe no thought?) he decided to write a book about his experiences. If you would like to read it, it's titled January 6: A Patriot's Story, and it's for sale here.

A joke about (in your words) "the gays"? I'm not as cruel and callous as you people are.
I only joke about imbeciles who have earned it. Imbeciles, you know, like you.
You're welcome.

I believe that our host said best:
"Elections are simple. Trump is an enormous threat to this country and the security of the world. In our two-party system there was only one candidate who could have beaten him. Those who didn't vote for that candidate helped Trump." - #131 | Posted by rcade at 2017-01-28 11:53 AM

I understand your discomfort at having people own their own words.
Habitual liars, like you, want to be able to lie with impunity.
Not on my watch, MF. Not on my watch.

And just WTF is this Twitter "poster," MAZE (@mazemoore)?
Yep, I can call it:
#5: Opinion-as-fact: Opinions are not automatically facts. You have the right to your opinion, but that doesn't make your opinion right. | Important: May include one or more of the aboveYep, MAGAts post and re-post 100% BS because they believe that everyone is as gullible and stupid as they are.

#44 is a list of people who have been thrown off of the Retort by our host.
They, too, bitched and moaned about "moderation." Even deceased, former posters (e.g.: Zatoichi and nullifidian) still have accounts here.
Those people don't.
This site belongs to our host. He can be as biased as he wants to be because he owns drudge.com (suck on that, Matt Drudge), and he pays for the servers and connectivity that brings the Retort to us, every day. Same with the owners of the other social media sites I mentioned earlier.
I understand and respect that. I accept that as the "price" for every social media site I frequent.
Why can't posters like "BellRinger" accept that fact, too?
Oh, and thank you for your kind comment about my #43.

"You went after Bellringer for pointing that out ..." - #37 | Posted by eberly at 2024-10-09 03:21 PM
So?
It seems his raison de vivre is to bitch and moan about the moderation here. So, yeah, I "went after" him for being a typical MAGAt.
Too nuanced for you?
And, are you trying to moderate me with your Bill Frist diagnosing skills?
