As an old guy nearly 80, I can remember the 1950's, when Jim Crow ran those with Black skins off the sidewalks, and made sure only white men were seen in positions of authority. Women were habitually ridiculed in the media.

One wonders when ICE becomes an official goon squad to harass and when able, arrest those of us who are outspoken opponents of the fascists in charge of our government. Look at Russia, look at Afghanistan for that matter, to see how it is done. Intimidation doesn't have to mean going after all the opponents, it means finding a few very public opponents and treating them like crap.

I grew up in fundamentalist New England in the middle of the last century, and all in all, one of the best things I can say about myself is that I was able to be open minded enough to "wake" to the fact that racism and misogyny are bad things and making women and those with black or brown skin second class citizens is absolute stupidity.

Trump and his family get the absolute best of medical care, so why should he, and the other billionaires, pay taxes to give lifesaving care to the great majority of us out here in the sticks? Putin, who wants Americans to feel the same sting he felt as the Soviet Union fell and was, instead of being seen as a great power, was seen as a joke.
