Trump is relying on his tried and true policy of "in your face lying" so that one has to understand the truth and stand and deliver one's truth on Election Day...and if they are in the habit of just shrugging and going along with him, MAGA like, yeah, FDRs safety net of social security and medicare could be toast.
Even for the great grifter Trump, taking medicare and medicaid and social security from MAGA and asking for their midterm votes is going to be a tough sell.

You cannot teach a man clearly in decline all that much except to try and explain that his judgment is faulty and to resign and stop trying to blow up the world. But then, Trump is so easily manipulated he is the far right's best chance to strut on the world stage, on top of a lot of bodies. One expects Cuba to be next, or another Blue City like Portland or SF.

I love the fact that this atheist can listen to him with respect, for he is not about domination and demanding all bend a knee, he can help heal our nation, certainly the religious/secular divides. I wish him well.

I am nobody, ignorant of why Trump let this nomination pass on by, but I have a nagging suspicion we won't be seeing any independent action from Rudd that Trump opposes, he won't be the New Pope. And one has a very powerful fear that those who say Trump is a Russian asset might be right. So....

After WWII< the world had a vision it was working toward, place where the rule of law held sway and conflicts were brought to legal systems to determine settlement. Now, however, the world can see that the vision that at least Russia and the US are working toward is one that includes dictatorship and thus the ending of free speech and the right to assemble and all.

This morning is full of the most discouraging news about some very intelligent and powerful people and corporations. War certainly is far more well funded than peace and the rule of law.

An old man of 79 could make a great President, though in both my case and Trump's, not gonna happen. Well, the Chinese people no longer have American democracy to point to and wish to emulate. Trump got elected twice ginning up racial hatred and misogyny.

It was, is, the tactic in Gaza as well, destroy the people's will to fight by destroying their places of safety, including hospitals and schools. There is no rule of law in our world right now...and so the biggest most murderous gangsters are killing and stealing at will.

I suppose that Putin is not unhappy that his oil is now offered at a premium to the world markets. His puppet in the White House is doing a great job of bankrupting and dividing America, never mind any other place.
