Federal Officers of all types are required by law to provide credentials if asked to do so. Go find an ICE agent and see for yourself.

The best we have is cheap plate carriers with Amazon Velcro generic "police" badges.

There's countless examples of people imitating them because there is no formal identification.

They are Federal Agents. That would be a charge at the federal level.
