Dems Unveil Plans to Reign in ICE Agents If They Win Midterm

[Rep. Seth] Magaziner said that this would involve requiring ICE agents to follow the same standards as local police officers, including no masks, the use of body cameras, visible badge numbers, and guaranteeing that anyone detained by ICE receives due process before a judge and has the opportunity to present their case before deportation.

I cannot believe that Donald Trump will allow the mid-terms to go forward. There is too much at stake for him.

It seems entirely possible that he will put tanks in the street simply to block the Epstein Files.

ICE was a de jure formalization of the notorious ad hoc 1920 Palmer Raids to remove aliens and undesirables quickly during the "Red Scare." But the barn door has been open far too long for progressives and Democrats to act now to defang ICE, which was created over 20 years ago under the so-called "Patriot Act."

So, here we are today.
