... Amnesty International reports: "Palestinian women in the Gaza Strip have been "denied the conditions needed to live and to give life safely" ...

The cited link, disturbingly, goes further than that ...

... Over the past 29 months the devastating, multilayered impact of Israel's ongoing genocide has pushed Palestinian women and girls in the occupied Gaza Strip to the brink, said Amnesty International today.

Amid Israel's deliberate imposition of conditions of life calculated to bring about the physical destruction of Palestinians in Gaza, Palestinian women face compounded and life-threatening consequences that have materialized through ongoing mass displacement, the collapse of reproductive, maternal and newborn healthcare; interruption of treatment for chronic illness, including cancer; heightened exposure to disease and unsafe and undignified living conditions; as well as profound physical and mental harm.

These harms are exacerbated by Israel's ongoing restrictions on the entry into Gaza of items indispensable to the survival of the civilian population including adequate food, medicines, medical equipment and assistive devices, shelter material and equipment necessary for the purification of water and removal of rubble, unexploded ordnance and waste. Israel continues to impose these restrictions amid life-threatening delays on medical evacuations and the suspension of registration of international humanitarian organizations that provide essential services for women and girls.

Women have been forced to give birth without adequate medical care, to endure pregnancy and post-partum recovery while displaced in overcrowded and unsanitary sites, and to navigate hunger, disease, and trauma with little privacy, protection, or access to essential services often while caring for others....

@#19 ..." that weirdo Talarico."

Dead giveaway. They are terrified of this guy. ...

It currently looks that way.

From what i have seen of him, he seems to espouse rationality.

James Talarico

... Talarico's maternal grandfather was a Baptist preacher in South Texas who Talarico says taught him that Christianity "is a simple"though not easy"religion, rooted in two commandments: 'love God and love your neighbor.'"[3]

Talarico earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in government from the University of Texas at Austin,[10] where he organized students for tuition relief.[11]

He later earned a Master of Education degree in education policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.[12]

While a member of the Texas House of Representatives, Talarico earned his Master of Divinity at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.[13][4][14] ...

Ig Nobel Prize flees US for Switzerland after 35 years over safety concerns
www.theregister.com

... The Ig Nobel Prize, which satirizes its more noble namesake, is moving its award ceremony to Europe following concerns about the safety of those attending the US event.

The event's founder said that the awards could not ask scientists and journalists to attend unless the event was moved elsewhere.

The Ig Nobel Prize has been held in the US for 35 years. Organized by the Annals of Improbable Research magazine, it aims to honor less obvious scientific achievements, while making people laugh, and then making them think.

Ceremonies have so far taken place at Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Boston University. The next is scheduled to be held in Zurich, Switzerland.

Marc Abrahams, founder, emcee of the ceremony, and the magazine's editor, said: "During the past year, it has become unsafe for our guests to visit the country. We cannot in good conscience ask the new winners, or the international journalists who cover the event, to travel to the USA this year." ...

@#8 ... ... and, we know who you voted for. ...

From drudge.com

... The Act requires the States to turn over to Pres Trump troves of personal information on voters, e.g., party affiliation, driver license ID number, name, address, mother's maiden name, birth date, etc, etc, etc.

Do you, for a minute, think Pres Trump wants that data because he wants to protect it and make it more secure? ...
