As seems to be typical in these minor cases, he plead guilty.

The issue became that his lawyers said his guilty plea also applied to any other accusations he may be accused of in the future in this area.

The prosecuting lawyer then said that this future thing did not apply.

So the Judge threw out the plea agreement because the prosecution and the defense did not seem to agree on its terms.

But to your comment, many people enter into a guilty plea to agree to a solution of the case.
