Mr Musk is a very smart guy, imo, but I have a concern with how he uses that smartness.

RFK JR is also right about a few things, imo, but how will he put into effect the things he may be wrong about?

No, Elmo is NOT a smart guy. He's an idiot who was born rich (from Daddy's apartheid emeralds) and got very, very lucky. And, you know, a Nazi.

Sure. I can see that.

@#3 ... No, Elmo is NOT a smart guy. He's an idiot who was born rich (from Daddy's apartheid emeralds) and got very, very lucky. ...

OK, based upon your comment, I looked around, and I may have to re-evaluate my opinion.

For example, I found out that Mr Musk did not start Tesla.

Wow.

So, all this hype about Tesla is not to Mr Musk's credit.

Thanks for the #3 comment.

Well, yeah.

Has there ever been any doubt that Mr Musk is spending his political influence money for his own benefit, and not for the benefit of Americans?

I mean, really.

Television The Drug Of The Nation - The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy (1982)
www.youtube.com

Lyrics excerpt...

...
One nation
Under God
Has turned into
One nation under the influence
Of one drug

[Hook:]
Television, the drug of the Nation
Breeding ignorance and feeding radiation
(2x)

[Verse I]
T.V. it
Satellite links
Our United States of Unconsciousness
Apathetic therapeutic and extremely addictive
The methadone metronome pumping out
150 channels 24 hours a day
You can flip through all of them
And still there's nothing worth watching

T.V. is the reason why less than 10 per cent of our
Nation reads books daily
Why most people think Central America
Means Kansas

Socialism means un-American

And Apartheid is a new headache remedy
Absorbed in it's world it's so hard to find us

It shapes our mind the most
Maybe the mother of our Nation
Should remind us
That we're sitting too close to...

OK, that tune (listen to the whole tune or read the whole lyrics) from four decades ago seems to be quite spot on in the current environment.

Before that. He was utterly shameless is selling other people's big ideas as if he could do them when in reality he was nothing but an opportunist who glommed onto other people's good ideas and covered with slick marketing.

All while shamelessly taking billions in tax payer dollars to stay afloat.

He's a self-serving leech.

OK, looking at this from a different angle...

The megadonors who fueled Trump and the Republican Party and what they may want in the next 4 years (November 2024)
www.cbsnews.com

... More than $20 billion flooded into the 2024 presidential campaign, shattering the record for political spending in a single election. In an accelerating trend in American politics, Donald Trump, Kamala Harris and their allies raised colossal sums of money from billionaires.

A majority of these megadonors were Republicans, according to Open Secrets, the nonpartisan watchdog organization that tracks the influence of money on politics. And with Trump's decisive victory, they hit the jackpot.

So, who are these high rollers and what do they want in return for their generosity? ...

I spent a large part of my career in Silicon Valley, and I've pretty much had nothing but disdain for fElon Musk since his days at PayPal, a company he co-founded through a merger of his X.com and a company called Confinity. The board of directors, led by Peter Thiel, kicked him out because he's an -----, but you'll hear something something business genius.

I lived a few blocks away from the original Tesla showroom in Menlo Park (also not far from the original Facebook building in Palo Alto). The entrepreneurs/brains behind Tesla were Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning. fElon Musk used his PayPal money to swoop in and take credit for "inventing" Tesla.

Around the same time, he was involved in a startup called SolarCity, founded by his cousins. He eventually shuffled his stock ownership around, trying to merge part of the technology to create batteries and solar panels to run the expensive electric cars he was taking credit for inventing...his ideas were likely sound on that issue, but he doesn't understand regulations, laws and the idea of "public utilities" - dude wants to run roughshod over everyone because he is the most smartest JeniUs in the world.

The one company he totally built was The Boring Company - that brilliant idea essentially killed HSR between LA and Las Vegas. It is also a fraud, but don't take my word for it.

The brain behind SpaceX was Thomas John Mueller, employee #1 and the reason that company was able to survive. Musk's ties to Moscow factor into the success of SpaceX, going back (at least) to 2001. Musk basically bought a bunch of different companies and spun off some successes like Starlink, and on the verge of bankruptcy, Falcon1 launched, saving the company. He is more like Steve Jobs in this regard (Apple was nothing without Wozniak).

Musk didn't invent anything. He's the classic Silicon Valley tech-bro, born on third base and claims he hit a triple. He does a lot of ketamine, is clearly on the spectrum and has a dozen kids from multiple women. His trans daughter offers the best insight into his character, and it's not good.

If you want to know what is going to happen in 2025, look up Peter Thiel. Musk is tied to Putin, Peter Thiel and now FDT. JD Vance is Peter Thiel's b-tch-boy, too.

Bernie is right. Elon is a smart man, but then so was Ted Bundy.

Junior is also right about an unhealthy society, but he's not going to be able to do anything about it.

So glad some of you are acknowledging that smart and good are not the same thing. I once with an comment that Hitler was charismatic. You folks went ballistic calling me a Nazi, bigot, hateful, etc. Im Jewish, and I know there is no question Hitler was charismatic. He would never have accomplished the horrific things he did if not for that charisma.

Also, someone mentioned Bundy. Most photos of him show him wild-eyed. A particular movie was widely criticized for choosing an attractive actor to portray him, which made him look attractive. Instead of monstrous, As if it glamorized his persona. I personally knew a girl who was taken by Ted Bundy. He was good looking and chat, int, She was disarmed by his appearance, as many of his victims were.it is important that we learn that the world is not cleanly divided into good guys and bad guys. All of us carry a little of both. The most dangerous among us are right there in front of us blending in.

He was.

As is Pres-elect Trump.

But charisma does not a good President make.

Charisma appeals mainly to low-information voters.
