The guy stopped outside of Trump's California rally on Saturday, Vem Miller, is a self-proclaimed 'sovereign citizen', who claim that they're not subject to federal laws. The vehicle he was driving had fake license plates, he was carrying a fake drivers license and the multiple firearms in his truck were unregistered. But he was a registered Republican from Nevada and apparently an ardent fan of Donald Trump.

Speaking of Fox News, the Trump campaign has accused Fox News of participating in disseminating 'propaganda' because they covered the White House press briefing on the government's responses to Hurricanes Helene and Milton. You notice that every time Fox News does something 'normal', like covering this emergency response press briefing, interviewing someone who's NOT a Trump supporter, running a political advert for a Democrat or covering a news item which does NOT show Biden or Harris in a bad light, Trump goes crazy and accuses the network of being unpatriotic or worse. It's because Trump knows that members of his 'base' watch Fox News, often it's the only media outlet that they're getting their news from, and he doesn't want them to hear anything that does not directly help him. He's admitted that he doesn't really care what they say about him on CNN or MSNBC because no one watches those networks, no one that is who might support him. But Fox News, that's a whole different kettle of fish.

Yes, and if you recall, after January 6th it was Andy Kim who took it upon himself to grab a few large trash bags and clean-up the garbage that was left behind in the rotunda of the Capital building after the Joint Session of Congress finally recessed, after counting and certifying the electoral votes, early in the morning of the 7th. No one asked him to do it, he just saw the trash and felt that it was inappropriate that it remain there overnight until the janitorial staff showed up later in the morning. If it wasn't for someone getting a snapshot of Kim picking up the trash, no one would've ever known about what he had done.

And you notice, the first person who seemed to be aware that something was wrong was Andy Kim, his Democratic opponent, who quickly walked over and asked Bashaw if he was OK. Kim also signaled to Bashaw's people that he needed help.

Despite so many Republicans suggesting that FEMA was running low of funds, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson says that the country will just have to wait until AFTER the election before he'll allow Congress to come back into session to deal with emergency funding for the various government agencies involved in disaster relief efforts. Is this just the border deal all over again, where Republicans would prefer that the problem exists rather than there be an attempt to deal with it? Doesn't Johnson know that in one respect at least, Marjorie Taylor Greene's 'map' was accurate in that the vast majority of the areas impacted by Helene, and now Milton, cover congressional districts held by members of his own party? The additional fact that they're also Americans seem to matter little to him.

The Supreme Court just assured that abortion rights will remain the #1 issue in those states, like Texas, where their legislatures have created an environment where women are bleeding-out in their cars, while sitting in the parking lot outside of their local ER. If your argument is that life is so sacred that abortion for any reason is not only wrong but a criminal offense, how about the life of the mother?

BTW, lets look at that concern for sacredness of life in those same states when it comes to capital punishment. You can't have it both ways, if life at conception is to be protected, then ALL LIFE is to be protected, period. You claim that only God has the power of life and death, OK, then do away with capital punishment, since that is nothing more than state-sanctioned murder. Either all life is sacred or it's not.

The DOJ is not allowed to START an investigation or initiate a court proceeding within 90-days of an election. However, the election case against Donald Trump has been in the works for over a year and therefore is NOT impacted by the DOJ rule. What happening now was underway a lot longer ago than 90-days.

And yes, I do read history and am aware of what's going on and how Trump attempted to circumvent the will of the people and how he continues to do so today, with the help of those who only listen to him and who are themselves ignorant of history.

The Supreme Court ordered Judge Chutkan to review the charges being brought against Trump to determine what is and what is not considered part of his duties as president, and the only way to do that was to have the charges spelled out in black & white in a formal indictment, which is what Jack Smith did. His filing to the judge had been presented first to a grand jury, which found that there was probable cause to issue an indictment. The judge and Smith were only complying with the ruling from the Supreme Court. As for the publication of the redacted version of the filing, under the 6th Amendment to the Constitution, the defendant, and the public, has the right to see, in a timely manner, what charges were laid out in an indictment. The judge was simply doing what it was that she would have done for any other defendant.

From the judge's point of view, who the defendant is or what their position is in society is irrelevant. Trump is being treated like any other person under indictment in a federal court of law.

At a rally in Michigan today, Trump promised the crowd that he would win the state, just like he did in 2020.

Trump lost Michigan by over 150,000 votes in 2020.

Trump also said that while mail-in ballots contributed to the election being stolen from him in 2020, for 2024, since Michigan has already started to send out mail-in ballots, that perhaps this year, the state's voters should consider using them. Well, which is it, are mail-in ballots susceptible to fraud or not? You can't have it both ways.

Note that Michigan is a 'no excuse' state. That is, any registered voter can request a mail-in ballot and they are NOT required to provide a reason for doing so.

Vance has finally answered the question he was asked at the Debate, "Who won the 2020 election?"

And his answer, Donald Trump.

He also refuses to commit to accepting the outcome of the 2024 election. This alone should disqualify him from ever holding national office.

There's talk that Trump was upset with Vance's debate performance, or at least how the pundits were talking about his debate performance, that is that it was civil and on topic and everything that Trump's performance agasint Harris in their debate was NOT. And like what Josh just stated, some Republicans are starting to discuss how they might move Trump out of the front seat of the campaign. And some of big donors are coming to believe that they can get everything they want with Vance, without any of the baggage that inevitably would come along with Trump and his family.

Considering how Trump has condemned Kamala for not doing one-on-one interviews, Trump himself has not done one since last year, and now he's blown off '60 Minutes'. I think the reason for that was that he was worried that the VP debate was going to go poorly and he wanted to be free to attack CBS over that, which would have been complicated if he was still going to be doing a one-on-one with them. So he sacrificed the chance to go, in essence, back-to-back with Kamala, all so that he was free to attack the media and make them the villain in everything that's not going exactly the way he thinks that it should be going.
