The Oklahoman finds that there are few bibles, besides the 'Trump Bible', that fit the written criteria for mandated classroom bibles in Oklahoma. "Bids opened Monday for a contract to supply the state Department of Education with 55,000 Bibles. According to the bid documents, vendors must meet certain specifications: Bibles must be the King James Version; must contain the Old and New Testaments; must include copies of the Pledge of Allegiance, Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights; and must be bound in leather or leather-like material," the Oklahoman reports.

Can you say, "Let's dumb down the students".
I knew you could.

-The GOP.

They don't like questions, just easy to read
fake answers and nice stories. That's a good little hamster.
Now climb on your wheel...

"Let's dumb down the students"

Crap like this will never hurt any kind who is curious and ikes to read,

And so, and of course, MAGA attacks libraries and librarians.

As MAGA will officially track menstrual periods, they will also officially track book purchases.

Why the hell would the country's founding documents be included in bible. And which version of the pledge, the original without 'under god' in it? These are for the 'originalists' aren't they?

And the bigger question is why is the bible in public schools. As a work of literature it ain't that great. Why King James version?

This is just a judicial system test.

Here in Okiehomie this guy is hated more than any teen girls dark skinned boyfriend. He is clearly angling to be education secretary in a new Trump administration and reign of terror. If Der Dotard is not elected Walters will be impeached in the coming year.

How did he get elected in the first place? Almost 80% of GOP voters here vote straight ticket (yes, it's still possible here). And the locals are so dumb they can't figure out the reason why they voted for such an awful person ...

Those are some oddly specific specifications...that seem to match the Trump Bible exactly.

It's almost as if these specifications were created precisely for the purpose of....nah. Couldn't be.

"According to the Bible, dinosaurs must have been created by God on the sixth day of creation. Genesis 1:24 says, "And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so."

The sixth day of creation was also the day when God created people (Genesis 1:26-27). Therefore, dinosaurs and people must have lived together on the earth at one time."

Saddles are generally made from leather made from the skins of cattle. My question is how many cattle have to be skinned to make one good, comfortable dinosaur saddle?

That question assumes that if diosaurs and people existed at the same time then cattle did too.

I will say this though; I believe the Trump Bible just as much as I believe any other Bible but "God Bless the USA Bible," which is inspired by country singer Lee Greenwood's patriotic ballad the inclusion of Lee Greenwood's ballad "God Bless the USA, makes it far funnier than any other Bible!

Well low and behold, there's only ONE Bible currently 'in print' which meets this exact specification, the so-called 'Trump Bible', from which Donald Trump is personally paid a 'royalty' for every copy sold. Gee, how convenient.

@#3 ... Why the hell would the country's founding documents be included in bible. ...

That was my first question when I read the article.

Why the conflation of the Country's important documents with a religious text?

Also on that vein... The King James version is a terrible thing to base anything on. I suggest anyone who is Christian check out "Misquoting Jesus: The Story Behind Who Changed the Bible and Why" by Bart D. Ehrman
