"Trump appears to be sleeping. His head keeps dropping down and his mouth goes slack." The post, which immediately went viral on X and was almost instantly the talk of cable news panels, shot around Biden world in emails and text messages between White House, campaign aides and other Democrats close to the administration. "Hitler Pig sleepy," one individual said on one thread as a caption to Haberman's post. You read that right: "Hitler Pig." That moniker, four people in Biden's orbit told West Wing Playbook, is one that aides to and allies of the president " generally younger, more digitally native individuals, not senior staffers, one person clarified " frequently use to describe Trump.

Donald Trump lost a bid Thursday to pause a string of lawsuits accusing him of inciting the U.S. Capitol attack, while the former president fights his 2020 election interference criminal case in Washington. U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta in Washington denied defense lawyers' request to put the civil cases seeking to hold Trump responsible for the Jan. 6, 2021, riot on hold while the criminal case accusing him of conspiring to overturn his election defeat to President Joe Biden plays out. It's the latest legal setback for the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, whose trial in a separate criminal case related to hush money payments made during the 2016 campaign began this week with jury selection in New York. The lawsuits brought by Democratic lawmakers and police officers who defended the Capitol on Jan. 6 seek civil damages for harm they say they suffered during the attack, which aimed to stop Congress' certification of Biden's victory.

Judge Merchan, in directing the press not to use physical descriptors to describe jurors, complained specifically about mentioning one of the jurors had an Irish accent. "We just lost" what would have been a good juror for the case, Merchan said, after one of the jurors was excused after she told the court that she had concerns about her ability to be impartial. Merchan added: She said she was afraid and intimidated by the press, all the press. The juror who withdrew was targeted by Jesse Watters, the Fox News host, on Tuesday evening. Watters said on his show: I'm not so sure about juror No. 2.

Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) thinks he's found the perfect job for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA). Axios reporter Andrew Solender has flagged an amendment that Moskowitz filed that would make Greene the official representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the United States. "Whereas... Greene has repeatedly attempted to block aid to Ukraine, empowering Vladimir Putin's unlawful violation of Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity," the amendment reads. "Whereas... Greene has reposed information from the Strategic Culture Foundation, a Russian based disinformation and propaganda channel... It is the sense of Congress that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA-14) should be appointed Vladimir Putin's Special Envoy to the United States Congress."

After the hearing, Gallagher spoke with reporters about the hearing and the end of his time in Congress.

This is more just me wanting to prioritize being with my family," he said at the gaggle. "I signed up for the death threats and the late-night swatting, but they did not. And for a young family, I would say this job is really hard.
WLUK reached out to Gallagher's office about his comments on death threats and late-night swatting calls. It is still unclear if any specific incident led to his early resignation.

However, WLUK did confirm through the Brown County Sheriff's Office -- which patrols Allouez, where Gallagher lives -- a case number was assigned late last year to a swatting incident related to the congressman.
