The Pentagon may wish to take note and instead of investing in expensive airplanes, ships and tanks they should just hold up in the nearest cave when under attack and wait out the storm and then take over a la Taliban/Hamass/Al Qaeda/ISIS.

The legend of our military might is based on the dropping of two nukes... 80 years ago... Since then a lot of other countries got nukes to wave around as a show of superiority.
Remember when we initially invaded Afghanistan and Iraq with a complete array of our superior equipment that ultimately couldn't withstand IEDs?
You know... the weapons they pieced together out of this and that... they were sending our troops back home missing pieces of their bodies and ringing ears. Meanwhile... our troops were digging through junk yards finding scraps to weld onto their vehicles because what we were using wasn't up to snuff against their "improvised weapons".
Frankly... what they are doing is what we would do to win if the tables were turned... stubbornly keep fighting a myriad of little battles... until it gets too expensive for the invading forces to keep up the fight.
It's fascinating that the whole "Shock and Awe" thingie to "win the hearts and minds"... only managed to pi$$ them off and fight rather than capitulate. Why fault them for their patriotism?
The US can't win a ground war on foreign soil. Never has... never will.
Oh... and kids getting hurt playing a game? Kids get hurt playing games... it's what they do... organized or not. If you don't want your kids hurt by something... keep them on the sidelines.
Kids get hurt working on farms...noodling with chemicals in the garage... all sorts of fun things...
Making it to adulthood has never been easy.
I'm surprised I made it.
