People calling it "horse paste" are not talking about specific instances of people doing that, at least not in the contexts where I've seen them repeatedly do it. It is hypocritically spreading misinformation about the drug. The World Health Organization includes it on its Model List of Essential Medicines for humans. It's one of many medications that have been used in both humans and animals, so calling it "horse paste" is as dumb as calling antibiotics a farm animal drug.
