7. Trump and his media sycophants have been entirely ham fisted in trying to down play it.
8. It's too easily believable.

All this means getting this to go away will be insanely difficult.

Japan gets a lower tariff rate then other countries for its cars giving them a competitive advantage in the US.
Japan will invest $550 billion in the US...but its in equity and loans to Japanese business investments in the US and likely already going to happen over the coming years.
Japan will open its country to US rice and cars...that they were already buying anyway.

We got NOTHING from this deal. Absolutely nothing.

And Japan got a competitive advantage over other countries to sell into the United States.
