The problem for Trump is that this won't go away easily because:

1. The bar to understanding the conspriacy is ridiculously low compared to others.
2. Trump and his fanatics raged about international pedo rings and built it up as a vital issue to the base.
3. There is a constant drip drip drip of information coming out.
4. It's incredibly salacious and non-technical.

Trump lied on a debate stage that Haitian immigrants, invited into the US by Biden, were slaughtering and eating their neighbors' pets, and it helped get him elected. This is where the electorate is now: they eat up bull s h it that just possibly sounds true. Democrats refuse to do this and they are paying a hefty price. Had they run this type of message in the lead-up to 2024 about Trump and Epstein as heavily as the Right ran with fake news about pet-eating Haitian immigrants, it may have had an impact. But they didn't, they sat on their hands and waited for Trump to step in his own sh it only after he was elected, then tried to pounce. But by then, it was too late. I agree with you completely. I am proud of Dems for not delving into mudflinging and conspiracy theories. That may cause this country to be screwed because the general public cares more about the conspiracy theories than actual character, but I personally still don't want Dems to descend to Republican levels.
