At an absolute minimum that due process should involve a hearing with some qualified adjudicator to determine the facts of that person.

Due process of law is necessary to a. establish who the person is. b. their immigration status and c. how the existing laws apply to that status.

Undocumented people include asylum seekers, refugees and those with temporary protected status.

Those people's presence in our country is LEGAL. They have a legal status.

Here is a basic lesson in economics.

When tariffs raise prices on a commodity that is imported, those who produce those products within the country raise their prices to match the imported products cost with the tariff, cause they can.

What also happens is that there is less of the commodity available in the market.

What happens when less of a commodity is in the marketplace? Hint, price of said commodity increases.

Tariffs are a terrific trigger for inflation and recession.

Which there were hints of prior to today's announcement.
