Technically? I think so.

My overall point is that starting with the low hanging fruit is smart. Going after the nasties is a way to build political capital. And a two pronged approach of deportations and being hawkish at the border does the same as both are popular measures. Lefties crying that human traffickers are being removed makes the detractors look kind ridiculous. Now a point will eventually be reached where the low fruit is gone and will create a politically difficult form in the road. But we aren't even close to that yet.

According to Bill Melugin (who has been on the ground for this issue for years) he has never seen numbers of attempted illegal entries so low as he's seen over the past several days. Surely that royally pisses you off. And I'm happy that it pisses you off. You are an anti-American D-bag and you deserve to have your America hating views repudiated.

No, it really isn't.

Nobody who is being deport d was compelled to enter this country illegally. With all of the human, sex and drug trafficking baked into illegal entry dwarfs whatever negatives deportation brings.

But, why even have a border at all? Just let anyone enter with impunity and then shower them with taxpayer funded debit cards and taxpayer funded shelter. If they rape or murder just tell them To be better next time and still let them stay.

This is far from perfect but it's much more humane that what open borders has wrought.

No. I'm saying if a person wants to enter this country the said person needs to do so by legal channels. This is not a difficult concept, or it shouldn't be. We either have and enforce laws or we don't. I'm for having and enforcing laws. If laws need to be changed we have a process for doing so.

Executive actions and orders, in and of themselves, are not a bad thing.

As long as they fall within the purview of the Executive branch.

Trump issued an EO trying to end birthright citizenship. While I think anchor babies are an abuse of the system, the Constitution is very clear on this issue. It will rightly be laughed out of court.

It looks like the same thing is close to happening with DACA, which is also a blatant over-reach by the Executive.

Congress needs to pass targeted laws that don't have crap like, "Secretary shall..." and POTUS needs to enforce said laws.

This whipsaw executive authority needs to stop. People can't organize their lives around this level of chaos when it changes so rapidly.

Another example: Paris Climate. Put it before the Senate for a 2/3 vote and we are either bound by that or it's something we ignore. Neither party has done that.

We have a process. That process doesn't involve sneaking across the southern border without any kind of paperwork.

If you favor illegal entry, just say so.
