DeSantis issued a huge warning that they were going to show a video made by (who knows) of (who knows what) saying it was from books with graphic content and was "sexually explicit" - so *some* news (SOME, not all, not most, but *some*) cut their feed. One that was cited for cutting the feed said it was due to technical issues and started when Diaz was speaking. Another said that without prior warning and a review of the management of the station they preferred not to risk showing whatever it was that DeSantis was going to show since he had proclaimed it sexually explicit. Thank god we have DeSantis to be our big daddy and save us.

Apparently a lot of other news agencies didn't cut the feed. Bryan Griffin, DeSantis press sec't at the time, though, jumped on twitter talking about how the images in the books were so sexually explicit that they couldn't be shown on the news. Truth? It was all bullshht, but the message they sent made it to ears like Bellringers to trumpet, no matter how inaccurate or fake it is. And here he is, doing it.

Mission accomplished.
