A distillation of all the anti-vaccine nuttery in one story. The self-inflicted harm, the sense of entitlement, the zealotry, the brainwashing. It's all in there. nypost.com/2025/02/12/u ...

Just give her a tub of horse paste and she'll be good to go.

I would presume the child would be going on anti-rejection/immunosuppressant therapy post-transplant. Thus, the need to be immunized prior. The heart goes to the person most likely to have long term success.
It would suck to get a heart transplant and then succumb to a disease that is easily preventable.

#2 how many vaccines should the child have to have?

Every known vaccine?

Is there a list with risk associated?

" Is there a list with risk associated?"

It's in the cemetery.

Or not there, depending.

This isn't China, where we have a surplus of donor organs kept viable by whomever the government sticks on their death row.

Organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners in China
political prisoners, mainly Falun Gong practitioners, are being executed "on-demand" in order to provide organs for transplant to recipients.

Got anything to say about that?

One Nut asks: "What vaccinations should I have and when should I have them?"
All patients waiting for a heart transplant should be up-to-date on their vaccinations before
the heart transplant. These include:
Diphtheria.
Tetanus.
Pertussis.
Pneumonia.
Hepatitis A and B.
Annual flu vaccines.

Here is a list, you will have to do your own risk assessment as we all know that committees of doctors and ethicists are arbitrary and capricious.

He was not denied for refusing the vaccine per se. People are refused from transplant lists if they display an inability to follow recommended medical advice. And that's because if they can't follow medical advice then they are displaying beliefs that puts a successful transplant in jeopardy.

So it wasn't the vaccine that got him denied. It was idiocy.

"It was idiocy."

Unfortunately for their 12-year-old daughter, yes.

As well as every other brainwashed anti-vaxxer who will suffer the same consequences.

I'm also wondering if future insurance carriers will pick up on this and add anti-vaccines to their list of exclusions after Trump destroys Obama's Affordable Care.

From what the Cons have been bleating for the last few years, she doesn't need a transplant, just more blood of Jesus.
If her family doesn't believe in the science of vaccinations why do they believe in the science of transplants?

Good question.

A martyr for the cause. Let's see if JV asks his lord and savior to lay hands on the corpse, to revive the youngster. Jesus called Lazarus from the tomb, and El Rey Dotardo II will call someone on his cell phone. That will do it...

If the parents aren't capable or diligent enough to get their own child vaccinated, then they've assumed the risks and outcomes for that decision. This is one of those outcomes.

I feel bad that this child has to pay for her parents idiocy.

From the article, "Janeen, however, said she was confident her family, including their 11 other children, would not have any problems with COVID-19 after the transplant."

That is a super spreader event ready to unleash death upon her once she is on immunosuppressive drugs post transplant.

I feel bad for their kids but it's just Darwinism.
