As more in the Buckeye State learn that Vivek is a pal of Der Dotard (and has the red ties and royal blue suits to prove it), and loves Ohio so much he moved his company to Texas, the nod may well go to the good doctor...

This morning, 8/17/26, according to Bloomberg, spot price for WTI is up 32% from exactly six months ago, and the national average price for unleaded regular gas is up 39% in six months. For those who consume diesel, that's up 48% in the past six months. A whole lot of MAGA folk are getting what they voted for. Let's hope they feel good and patriotic about paying so much more at the pump--especially those "Farmers for Trump"...

This hearing will be a laff riot, TV worth watching. Highlights will include:
-Chuck Grassley letting the hearing spin out of control
-Ted Cruz trying to demonstrate why he should be on SCOTUS
-Little Josh Hawley reminding everyone that he was once a prosecutor, and a good one too
-Katie Britt will bring cookies
-Marsha Blackburn will try to fool people to think she is an attorney by asking about parking tickets
-Mike Lee will shout at the witness--twice
-Miss Lindsey's sister will bring her lunch and quietly eat it throughout the hearing

And the Dems will try to extract as many embarrassing comments form the witness as they possibly can, almost all regarding Donald Trump and the rest about GOP senators on the committee...

This attempt to hold a license to not pay taxes will stand until a non-MAGA president occupies the Oval Office, at which time the way will be clear for that president's attorney general to challenge the agreement in court. And likely win. Let's face it, until then, The Trump Crime Family will just stop paying taxes. Why should they pay, if they will not be questioned?

Folks in Arizona SWEAR up and down that they have enough ground water to get through any drought. Uh huh. As a regular visitor to those lands, here's how I see this playing out:
-The Saudi hay being grown in Arizona will no longer be grown
-That fountain at the Bellagio--dry
-effluent water will be more widely used to water golf courses (as it has been in Tucson for decades)
-the 'federal water' which flows into older neighborhoods in Phoenix, formerly to irrigate orange groves but now for peoples yards, well that will no longer flow
-the xeriscapes so common in Tucson will be common throughout the Southwest
-low-flow toilets will be mandated by law. And flush only on #2
-those watering their lawns or washing their cars will be fined bigly
-rain barrels--gotta have 'em
-those misting systems to provide evaporative cooling on peoples' porches will be shut off and torn out
-Cattle in Arizona--not any more
-Fracking?!? With what water?

Lifestyles are about to change, bigly. Complainers and scofflaws will be tied up to a cactus and left there...

Miller's opponent, Brian Poindexter (sorry you two write-in candidates) is a city councilman and iron worker. Looks like he could handle Miller in an altercation and is probably more suited to represent the interests of working people in his district than is some professional political leech who took six years to earn a history degree from a fourth rate college and touts professional credentials of being a cashier at LuluLemon for his working-man bona fides...
