Welcome to the "concept of a plan." No plan, other than casual, callous cruelty.. The Republican Party is now a yuuge death panel.

From the article: "Frustrated lawmakers are looking to 2026 in the hopes that they can reclaim some of the power many fear they've ceded to the White House under President Trump." If they are actually thinking along those lines and are aware of the quality of pols around them, they must be as delusional and dim as the low-wattage voters who put them there.

That's your Trump Christmas, folks, a time for failing to make yourself look big with smalltime score settling.

TWINPAC What a horror show. Your description of it brought to mind the scene in Zorba the Greek (1964), where rapacious villagers descend on the home of the dying "Madame Hortense" (Lila Kedrova), ready to strip it bare even before she draws her last breath. In its outlines, all too common behavior when a demise leaves property to be reallocated. Often brings out suboptimal behaviors.

From Rudyard Kipling's "Tommy" ...
O it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Tommy, go away"; But it's "Thank you, Mister Atkins," when the band begins to play The band begins to play, my boys, the band begins to play, O it's "Thank you, Mister Atkins," when the band begins to play.

"Matriphagy," not "matripjagy."

Being totally ignorant as to the ladybird spider, I opted for a brief trip down the proverbial rabbit hole. And that's where I learned a new word: matripjagy? Whoosh. Live and learn. Thanks for posting that key to a small rabbit hole door, always interesting.

TWINPAC Condolences on the reason for your rite of passage visit to West Virginia.
Some people see Weat Virginia as real "Take Me Home, Country Roads" country. I've been there a few times and always found it to be one of those locales with a decidedly "The Land Where They Eat Their Young" vibe. And it's not the topography that does that.

The nursing home industry? Free to do what? #2 | POSTED BY REDIAL
Cut costs and maximize profits. Not called an "industry" for nothing. Remember: "Corporations are people, my friend." Land of the free, home of the brave.
