California had a $12 billion deficit in an overall $322 billion budget in a $4 trillion dollar economy.

"Now" is where we live. And now it is worse than ever. Even under Nixon it wasn't this bad.

Republicans would never have tolerated what Trumpy is doing now to our federal system of government. They definitely would not have tolerated usurping congressional power of the purse.

Should we survive it, "now" will be remembered as another dark chapter in American history. And yes we have had a few. Even as Trumpy tries to literally "white wash" American history and remove any "dark" stuff from our museums it does have and will always have few dark chapters.
