The other half is that the republicans are guilty as hell of enabling this situation. That is...if we are going to call the current situation actually bad.

It's all politics. The number of illegals doesn't bother me nor where they work, nor the social services and government services they consume. they pay taxes and serve a purpose.

That shouldn't concern you as much as the fact we have people with 5+ DUIs with drivers licenses.....

someone rents him an apartment
someone issues him a drivers license
someone sells him a car
someone allows him to tag, title, and insure the car
someone sells him groceries
someone receives and accepts social security taxes, sales taxes, federal and state income taxes
someone educates his kids, accepts his dues/fees he pays for that
someone accepts his charitable donations

Yes, someone hires him but when you consider everybody has their hands in the illegal immigrant cookie jar, everyone else should STFU with their obvious hypocrisy.
