I graduated high school in 1964, along with a lot of males who had a draft obligation...and ended up, one way or another in the Vietnam War. Make no mistake about it, that war was a betrayal of the service people, Nixon and Kissinger, behind the scenes, made sure the 1968 peace talks were killed, so they could get elected to the White House..true story.
And it was many years before peace was possible, and many people I knew were killed or wounded.
Once again we attack and kill Iranians to try and steal their oil.
From now on, it will mostly be about the midterms, and the Republican Party somehow surviving to run Congress. Hence, appealing to the far right religious bigots who really and truly do not believe in the First Amendment protections for those of us not Christian. Yes, Hegseth has a right to his personal religion, but sure does seem like a move to "establish" fundamentalism in the public space.
