Hence, appealing to the far right religious bigots who really and truly do not believe in the First Amendment protections for those of us not Christian. Once upon a time, there was a semblance of the rule of law in place in the world, and embargoes like the one America has placed on Cuba were seen as illegal. You don't like a country, don't go there. I imagine that American attacks on Cuba have helped strengthen that country's ruling regime. I am no fan of the Cuban government, but then I am no fan of the clerics in Iran, but I recognize an illegal war of aggression when my country indulges in one. Heck, I am a Veteran, that seems to be what we do.

Sure, President Biden had aged, but Trump is clearly 25th Amendment bound sooner or later. One expects that Rubio will be appointed to be his VP somehow, and then Trump resigns and Rubio pardons him and his entire grifting gang...like Ford did for Nixon.

One the one, perverse hand, one has to admit that Trump has a talent for finding totally sold out, incompetent tools to put in his Administration.

And when the US falls down and needs help from the world...from Greenland to Canada to Mexico to NATO countries, to African countries...one would expect a lot of FAFO>

If there were such a thing as international rule of law obligations, Trump would have been charged long ago, as would other Presidents, for the illegal blockade of Cuba. But then, there are the attacks and murders on Venezuela and Iran...

Sorry, but this all feels like Trump's disability is showing, bit by bit he seems to be losing the ability to listen and process information and carry on intelligent conversations...Not his fault, at this point his handlers are just delighted to manipulate him so that their own private wars can be fought, including attacking the independent media.

Well, we can be sure of one thing, the person most happy about how well Trump is doing as a Russian asset...has to be Putin. Weakening NATO has to be high on his list.

I graduated high school in 1964, along with a lot of males who had a draft obligation...and ended up, one way or another in the Vietnam War. Make no mistake about it, that war was a betrayal of the service people, Nixon and Kissinger, behind the scenes, made sure the 1968 peace talks were killed, so they could get elected to the White House..true story.
And it was many years before peace was possible, and many people I knew were killed or wounded.

I am now old and very cynical...my parents' generation, the WWII folks, worked hard, and could often afford to buy a small house on one salary. But the leap in home prices has meant that those of us on the bottom third of the economic pyramid just could never save enough to afford housing, and in practical terms, I don't see this legislation doing much of anything. Hope I am wrong.

We are not Russia yet, though Trump and his gang are working mightily to get us there...where the media is jailed or killed for opposing Putin. In Navalny's case, he was jailed and then killed.

It was decided by the Supreme Court, you are free to burn a flag, it is freedom of speech. There is this thing called a Constitution that actually unites us, no wonder the Trump conspiracy hates it so much.

More and more it is obvious that Trump's main job is to ruin America, divide us one from another and from our international allies.

Their crazy is going to get a lot of we seniors dead. We oldsters were dying rapidly due to Covid, until the vaccines came out. And as a kid I remember the polio nightmare. Kennedy is so idiotic he has to be in his job to screw with America on orders from Putin to Trump. Sure feels like Trump is ruining everything about America.

Imagine if the rule of law still existed in international matters...Israel and America attacking Iran and killing many of its leaders would have been seen immediately as a war crime, and warrants would have gone out for Netanyahu and Trump. But since America was persuaded to ally with Israel, and the world cannot hold America to the rule of law, Iran is being turned into GAZA.

Ah yes, the march of the "unawake" in Florida and Texas. America has moved on, women are equal to men, gay people exist as equal to straights...and in about twenty years we whites will be in the minority in America...might as well get used to that fact.

Oh sure, women want to return to the greatness of the early 1950's, when men ruled the roost and women were very much second class citizens, pretty much baby machines and cooks and cleaners...
This earth cannot "carry" the number of humans on it as it is...

I bet James Mattis and John Kelly have stories to tell...hope one or both of them write memoirs of Trump's first term. Hope we survive his second term.
