Texas Democrat James Talarico: "What do we think Americans care more about -- culture wars or actual wars. What do you think care about -- pronouns or prices? This is what the people in power always do, they divide us by party, by race, by gender, by religion, by culture, so we don't notice that they are picking our pockets, that they're closing our schools, gutting our health care, raising taxes on all of us while they cut taxes for themselves. It's literally the oldest strategy in the world."

Talarico's quite gifted in articulating the causes of economic struggles for average Americans. Especially when many are working multiple jobs but watch their dollars getting stretched thinner and thinner in real time.

BTW, thanks for the vid on the Trident. Hope it makes the kind of difference the vid producer suggests it might.

Talarico is a good person.

He's got good ideals and values.

He speak the truth and in a manner which respects the people he's talking with.

I hope he does well.

If he can win Texas, he will one day make a good president.

The left, Dems and MSM (as always, for give the redundancy) thought Wendy Davis was going to be their Texas savior. Then it was Beto. Now, it's this faux Christian clown with all sorts of tweets and video sermons being uncovered that with some targeted ads will likely sink him with Texas voters because he's a kook.

The part of your comment that I agree with a lot is this... the people he's talking with.

As I have noted about Mayor Mamdani in NYC, TX Rep Talarico talks with people, not at them.

And that seems to have MAGA experiencing a meltdown ...

I just saw him say this:

Texas is the brisket capital of the world. The state has ranchers everywhere. I'm sure this will go over like a fart in church.
