No, but the secretions from a body have very high viral titers and, IIRC, Ebola is very infectious.

Couple that with strong cultural/religious traditions of washing and touching bodies and you get high risk of spread, which is why the bodies aren't typically released if you're confirmed to have died from it.

In response to that, people are attacking and burning the tents in the treatment centers. The most recent attack resulted in 18 suspected cases escaping.

If miles, that's a beautiful area. I went to university in the Albany area and my ex-in-laws live in the Glens Falls area, so I was up there all the time. Lake George is probably one of my top 3 favorite places (not the tourist trap town itself at the south end of the lake, but the more secluded, quiet areas around the lake outside of it). Sort of accidentally stumbled on Lake Champlain South Bay one time while out for a random drive. Gorgeous place.

My wife and I have kicked around the idea of moving back to NY to be near my parents and extended family but always come to the conclusion that we'd hate it. Between the general politics of NY not agreeing with us and the local MAGA politics of my parent's area, we realize we'd struggle to be happy there. Couple that with the fact that much of upstate NY is an economic desert (the Alabama of the north east), it was an easy nope.
