This is an excuse, since 2013 the number of people without health insurance has been halved to around 7%.
California effectively has the mandate and it has had no effect on premiums. There's no way adding more regulations written by the insurance industry was going bring down the cost of healthcare.
ACA had little to no effect on premiums rise, but added alot of regulations. It killed the PoH (Dr owned hospitals). Why?
If America wants better healthcare Abundance is the way, add more Dr's (AMA restricted) and hospitals (remove PoH restrictions from ACA).

The US already imports Beef from Argentina. Argentine beef accounts for about 2% " that even doubling that to 4% wouldn't change prices much as its typically just for ground beef.
Besides, beef imports are down overall because of the 50% tariffs that Trump imposed on Brazil, and limits on Mexico, where the country is fighting the screwworm.
For some reason, the US has a shortage of USDA slaughterhouses/processing. There's plenty of backlog.
