As California tries to derail Paramount's $110 billion takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery, Paramount CEO David Ellison's friends and advisers have been pushing the media executive to consider shifting his business out of the state. Ellison's confidantes have pushed him to consider moving its corporate headquarters and reallocating much of its $30 billion in planned spending outside the state if California Attorney General Rob Bonta were to sue to stop the merger, according to people familiar with the discussions. No decisions have been made, these people said, and the considerations may just be a show of brinkmanship, given so much of the industry's production takes place outside of Hollywood already. Under the current deal, Paramount has committed to keeping both companies' lots operational if it remains in California. read more

Do you agree with Trump's EO's regarding nuclear power or not?
"In some markets, consolidation is driving up costs for families while limiting access to more affordable, community-based options," said Rep. Kevin Kiley, chair of the House Early Childhood, Elementary and Secondary Education subcommittee. "The consequences are clear: A widening participation gap."
"The simple reality is that too many children are being priced out. It's not that they lack talent or determination; it's that their families simply cannot afford the rising costs," said Kiley, an independent from California who caucuses with Republicans
This is ridiculous.
America has so many parks and sports leagues, just in youth soccer alone there is the US Youth Soccer (USYS), US Club Soccer, and the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO). There are more than 10,000 local leagues, that are organized into regional or state associations.

This is just more "private equity" bad propaganda.
What markets exactly is there "consolidation driving up costs"?

Wasn't expecting this level of deflection on a thread about housing.
You do understand the Federal Government sets standards for housing construction if they recieved federal money?
www.acquisition.gov
Meaning all houses federally funded in some form, need to be built within its guidelines, you can of course go beyond that.
So unless a State is willing to forego its Federal funding, your deflection is moot.
Another reply would be whats the point of DeptOfEducation, if they can't enforce some form of standard on the money they pass out. I would proffer the point of federal funding, is to control what is being taught, built, and how elections are conducted, among other things.
Even moved out of the country? Is that legal?

"Mr. Biden lives abroad," the document stated. "He cannot pay his current lawyers."

The Left Goes to War with Itself
A fierce conflict is brewing among progressives over how best to effect change.
On one side are people who believe in what can be thought of as a unified field theory of political and social change. Diverse issues, from climate change to abortion rights to racial equity, are seen as intimately interwoven, and progress on one priority will only be achieved with simultaneous progress on other fronts. On the other side are people who don't much buy this theory " and roll their eyes impatiently at theoretical arguments of any sort if they stand in the way of practical results on the specific issues they care most urgently about.

I get it, you can't accept that you are the equivalent of an LLM, you've been trained on narratives, and don't know how think about what you regurgitate, hell just look at Corky.
