A Female President?

Nicholas Kristof: As we consider who might replace Biden on the ticket, we seem finally to have evolved when it comes to evaluating the female contenders.

It's going to be the most bitter irony in history if Republicans just end up getting Biden replaced with Harris.

I was watching Kamala speak yesterday and I thought she did a pretty good job. I haven't seen much of her at all, recently.

One thing Biden has failed to do is foster support for Harris as his predecessor, and we're suffering for it now. Maybe she doesn't want to do it, but I doubt that since she got her job by running for POTUS.

Regardless, going on 4 years now to find a candidate and still no clear Democrat leader for POTUS. That's a massive f-up, and it's not entirely Kamala 's fault.

On a side note, excellent job replacing Pelosi, which is a tall order. Jeffries has done a fantastic job.

Biden should resign, not just from the campaign but from the presidency. Kamala should pick a new veep, that should be the ticket.

Re 1

The odds are higher than we would like to think. It could happen any day. I would even bet those odds increase every day.

I am pretty sure Biden picked Kamala partly as a life insurance policy.

Genocide is a pretty serious charge.

Which specific act did Joe Biden personally commit with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group?

Perhaps she'll pick Michelle as VP, lol.

That would make rwinger's butts pucker.

It would also likely win.

Kamala's been active and on fire fighting for reproductive rights. She's honed her skills and her delivery. She's got the points down.

The biggest annoyance I have of the Democrats that want to replace Biden is they are by passing Harris and going for some other candidate. It's like they don't understand the message they are sending by doing that.

I also applaud Biden for unequivocal support for Harris that he gave when reporters questioned him about her. He kicked them right back in their self-important heels with his response, ending that idiocy right then and there.
