My vote was honored because when I voted for Biden, I also voted for Kamala Harris to be his VP - which places her in the constitutionally-mandated role of succeeding the President should he be unable to perform his duties or independently steps aside like President Nixon did when he was coerced to resign under threat of prosecution for his participation in a criminal conspiracy.

Why is this so difficult for Trump cultists to understand? The Constitution has ZERO to do with each party's presidential nomination process. The Constitution only dictates the administration of federal elections in the states and the eligibility requirements - age, citizenship, and state residency rules. It is not involved in the party's candidate selection process at all.

Kamala Harris was certified as the duly elected VP alongside Biden as President in 2020. She again received every single vote that Joe did during the 2024 primary elections. Democrats followed the constitutional path for presidential succession even though they could have done whatever the party's rules mandated in such a circumstance. However, no other Democrat stepped up to oppose Harris, so here we are.
