Told ya'll so.

Many times I've said that Russia (the Kremlin) doesn't treat its failed leaders kindly and Putin has turned into an enormous embarrassment.

Worse than the last time when Putin got wind of rumors about a coup and started firing or transferring generals to parts unknown to break up the clique. I seem to recall it was places that were cold . . very cold. Nonetheless, Putin did some housecleaning in his Defense Department and put away any thoughts about a coup.

Time will tell if Putin survives this one. I'm not making any guesses.

When there's a coup, sometimes failed Russian leaders get executed before their trial and then get tried in absentia.

Somestimes the coup plotters get executed when the coup fails and afterwards tried in absentia too.

Goes both ways.
