Big Arch: McDonald's Serves Up Its Biggest Hamburger Ever

It will be the first core offering since Chicken McNuggets conquered the world in 1983. Engineered in a test kitchen at McDonald's corporate headquarters in Chicago, the Big Arch packs 1,030 calories across two quarter-pound beef patties, three slices of processed white cheese, crispy onions, slivered onions, pickles, lettuce and a new tangy sauce served up in a sesame and poppy seed bun.

"As a sports nutritionist, I'm big on people eating an optimal amount of protein. With two beef patties, the Big Arch provides a whopping 57 grams of protein," Boufounos said. "But that doesn't mean I recommend rushing out to order one. There's truly no need for a menu item to serve up 1,065 calories."

I will eat it.

Lots of menu offerings are over 1000 calories at places like BJ's or Cheesecake Factory.

It's kind of scary

Go to Pope Yes Chicken.

I'm not a cal-counter by any stretch, but 3k+ calories for one meal is a bit excessive even for me.

Have you looked at the salads at most chain restaurants like Chili's or TGI Fridays?

Some are over 1,000 calories themselves.

A Salad...over 1,000 calories... A damn Salad.

Ridiculous.

He only weights 215 lbs...despite a 50 inch waistline.

Lots of people have 50 inch waist lines and only weight about 200 lbs. For example, the Teletubbies, people wearing inflatable dinosaur costumes, sumo wrestlers on the moon, etc.

Trump's measurements match Muhammad Ali's at the height of Ali's career.

I think I found the winner. 2730.

" the Breakfast Burrito from The Cheesecake Factory. Some people claim that this meal is the worst way to start your day.' This meal contains a whopping 2730 calories in a single serving! That's equal to having seven McDonald's Sausage McMuffin. Can you even imagine eating that much fast food in one sitting? This meal is the very definition of indulgent with ingredients like scrambled eggs, bacon, chicken, chorizo, cheese, crispy potatoes, avocado, peppers, onions, and sour cream inside a warm tortilla wrap. The amount of calories in this menu item is actually more than the recommended calories you need in a day. "

It's a great way to start the day, as long as your schedule calls for going right back to bed.
