Disgusting. No forgiveness? His plea was that he would stay away from baseball and MLB would not definitely say he was guilty of betting on baseball (incl his own team). He could have been reinstated after only a year per MLB rules at the time. Yet those bastards let him wither in public shame for decades, and finally die on the outside.
