Cabinet Secreteries don't get houses. I guess he's starting a new precedent?

@#2 ... Cabinet Secreteries don't get houses. I guess he's starting a new precedent? ...

Not only did the report say he got a house, with furnishings, but now he also wants $50k to paint it.

Maybe this is a new trend with our new-born oligarchy?

"Not only did the report say he got a house, with furnishings, but now he also wants $50k to paint it."

So...most government-provided houses are owned or managed by private management companies. In my mind, any service requests would have gone through the management company, who would then fulfill the request.

It would be really weird for the SECDEF to reuqest that someone other than the housing management company pain the house, although this could be some sort of one-off thing. He is the SECDEF, so he may not be living in normal military housing.

Hilarious millions going to hotels in NYC, monthly to house "immigrants" here under the false "amnesty".

*crickets*

But someone wants their house painted before they move in is outrageous.

*omg*

LOL

American soldiers prefer a SecDef that lives with the military, instead of like this?

The 8,700-square foot house was built in 2013 on one acre in the upscale suburb of Great Falls, Virginia, and last sold in April 2018 for $2.6 million, according to Redfin, which estimates it'd sell now for north of $2.8 million.

With an "enormous living space" and a "striking guest/pool house," according to the listing, the Colonial-style home has a total of 7 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, a 5-car garage, home automation, a built-in outdoor kitchen, and those neat heated floors in the master bathroom so the feet of the man in charge of America's $715 billion war machine do not get cold if he has to take a leak in the middle of the night.

Wow SecDefs live well. I always wonder who and what professions live in the North Virginia mcmansions adjacent to DC.

I doubt it actually needs a paint job.
