"What's compelling about it is if the United States takes a position in the emerging crypto economy " if it buys up 10, 20% of the bitcoin network, we're going to pay off the national debt, so why wouldn't that be in the interest of the United States?"

Trump's bitcoin reserve will be seeded with bitcoin (BTC-USD) already owned by the federal government that was taken as part of criminal or civil asset forfeiture proceedings, Trump's crypto czar David Sacks said in a Thursday post on the social media platform X.

All smoke and mirrors as usual. Just laundering stolen BTC.

Another day, another cascade of idiocy from Leon's deputy and designated the moron-in-chief Old Senescent. (Don't blame me; that's what Melanie and Barroom call him behind his back. So they say.)

This is where all the chumps that used to cry woes over the USD not being backed by gold will suddenly embrace and suck up to the crypto market.
