Two US border inspectors in Southern California have been charged with taking thousands of dollars in bribes to allow people to enter the country through the nation's busiest port of entry without showing documents.

The salary range for a CBP Officer job is from $69,978 to $91,145 per year. CBP officers hired after 6 July 2008 can retire after 20 years of service. According to CNN, $70,000 cash was seized from one of the defendants: www.cnn.com
