Federal Judge Tells Habba to 'Operate with a Higher Standard'

U.S. Magistrate Judge Andr M. Espinosa told interim U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Alina Habba that her office must "operate with a higher standard," as he criticized the "hasty arrest" and quick dismissal of a trespassing charge against Newark Mayor Ras Baraka.

Alina Habba made it clear she would use her appointment as New Jersey's interim U.S. attorney to bludgeon Democrats. She found an opening this month, charging Rep. LaMonica McIver with felony assault on law enforcement after a scuffle with law enforcement at a migrant detention center.

Strange statement, because 2 Supreme Court justices voted that it was perfectly legal for Maine's Speaker of the House to disenfranchise Rep. Libby (and her constituents) for her views on girls' sports.

^Yes, and exactly WHO were those SCOTUS judges? lemme guess: Alito and Thomas.
Amirite, the two most bribed judges? If so, not a good look.

Another proud Sand Crab, having graduated from the University of American Samoa's law school. How Habba ever passed the bar exam is a mystery to all in the legal profession...

A higher standard in the MAGA world? That could be as strenuous as jumping over a shoelace.

Fascism and Republicanism have become indistinguishable.

Congratulations, Republicans.

How about A standard? That would be a good start.

These federal judges are no joke! DOJ is getting its head handed to them in a platter. Let's see if SCOTUS can keep the ball rolling. They can forget their summer "break". They are going to be very busy.

#9 If we're dependent on SCOTUS, we're screwdus.

Perhaps it is wishful thinking but I don't believe that SCOTUS is going to betray the American people. They are not blind to Trump's bad acts and will not let ideology overrule their desire to maintain the constitutional order. I expect more 7/2 decisions with Alito and Thomas being the sell outs.

I hope you're right Fedup, I'd really like to see that happen.
