MTG Suggests House Speaker is 'under direct orders' from White House

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., suggested House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., is "under direct orders from the White House" and doesn't truly lead House Republicans.

"(Mike) Johnson is not our speaker. He is not our leader. And in the legislative branch--a totally separate body of government--he is literally 100% under direct orders from the White House. And many, many Republicans are so furious about that, but they're cowards." --Marjorie Taylor Greene

... Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., suggested House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., is "under direct orders from the White House" and doesn't truly lead House Republicans. ...

I came to a similar conclusion months ago.

Spkr Johnson - a leader?

Give me a break.

He seems to know how to do one thing, and only one thing, well ... follow orders.

So, who might be issuing those orders?

Yet the Republican majority in the House has elected him.

Interesting tidbit, the Speaker of the House does not have to be a member of the House, according to the Constitution.

Can a non-member of Congress be speaker of the House? (2023)
www.cbsnews.com

... As Republicans in the House of Representatives debate who should lead the lower chamber, it's notable that the House speaker -- who is second in line for the presidency -- doesn't have to be a member of Congress.

The House has never been led by a non-member in its 234 years of existence, according to the Congressional Research Service, and experts say a non-member speaker is still unlikely. But it is possible. ...

The Constitution has very few requirements to be House speaker. The person must be nominated by a member of the House, then chosen by a majority of the full membership of the House. For a House with 435 members, that's 218 votes, although there are two vacancies right now.

"The House of Representatives shall chuse their speaker and other officers," the Constitution reads.[1] ...

Wow, yeah, it says "chuse."

MTG wasn't naive. She was onboard. Everybody on the Hill knew Speaker Johnson was controlled by Trump. It's a little late for her crocodile tears now.

Up until the fallout she was screaming at Trump to "Pick me! Pick me"

it is unsual for the same Party House Speaker and POTUS to be working together LOL

Its unusual for the Speaker to do Anything asked by the President.

Most speakers have SOME independence from the Administration.

Not Johnson.

As Jack Smith testified in the release of his testimony to the House Judiciary, President Biden did not interfere in DOJ decisions at any time during Jack Smith investigation.

That says a lot about Biden's respect for tradition.

If SHRIMPY has any credible evidence to the contrary regarding collusion between Biden and Pelosi's DOJ decisions, let's hear it. (with emphasis on the word "credible)

If not, then it's safe to assume SHRIMPY's #11 is just blowing farts out his -------, which is the more likely case.
