Trump to Meet Machado at the White House

Venezuelan opposition leader and Nobel Peace Prize winner Mara Corina Machado will meet President Donald Trump on Thursday, the White House has confirmed.

More

What will happen in the Oval on Thursday: 1. Machado will not bring the Peace Prize medal. She has too much self-respect. 2. Machado will bring it & offer it to Trump but he will graciously refuse it. 3. Machado will bring it & Trump won't let her leave with it no matter what.

Or might her [planned] superficial adulation of Pres Trump be enough to assure her safety?

Or might her [planned] superficial adulation of Pres Trump be enough to assure her safety?

This might bring "sucking up" to a whole new level.

Is he going to steal her peace prize?

The prize itself is not transferrable, although she could offer him the medal, diploma and cash to try to placate his ego.

Having been so quickly and effortlessly dismissed for leadership consideration by Trump, Machado may be amenable (perhaps even eager) to bedeck his ample rump with besos. That would be expected by him, of course, surrounded as he is by shameless sycophants and amused manipulators. But parading as a Trump toady would be a huge mistake for her. We have not even begun to see how goings on go on in Venezuela as "Donroe" Trump's Sheetshow rolls into town.

So, she'll flatter him and promise him riches from Venezuelan resources.

Then Trump will insist she's the new "president" of Venezuela, Venezuela will reject it, and we'll be stuck in yet another pickle of Trump's own incompetent making.

Venezuela will reject it

And Lewzer will claim that proves he was right when he said she didn't have the support of the people.

So, she left the Peace Prize at the White House. Lewzer will be soooo happy!

"The prize itself is not transferrable, although she could offer him the medal, diploma and cash to try to placate his ego."

Hmm, hate to say I told you so...
