Trump, who came to office promising to keep the U.S. out of "stupid" military interventions (and end inflation on Day One), is now pursuing what many experts see as an open-ended war of choice unprompted by any imminent threat to the U.S. from Iran, despite claims to the contrary by the president and his aides.

In the Fox News poll, 51 percent of respondents said the president's relationship with Iran has increased risk for the U.S. Twenty-nine percent in the poll said Trump's relationship with Iran has increased security for the U.S., while 19 percent said his relationship has resulted in "no difference." One percent said they were unsure about the effect of Trump's relationship with Iran on American safety.

Trump has dismissed polls featuring low approval from Americans when it comes to the U.S. military operation in Iran.

"I think that the polling is very good, but I don't care about polling. I have to do the right thing. I have to do the right thing. This should have been done a long time ago," Trump said in a New York Post interview published Monday. ...

So this is what it is like being in a country run by a demented angry bully that everyone is afraid of...the world's peace was a fragile thing, but now that the gates of hell have been opened by Trump, war will strut as long as it takes to bankrupt America and make the oligarchs kings, actual inherited wealth royalty in America.

By the time boots are in the ground in Iran most of the 40% who support this action will be ok with it, forgetting that their family members or those of their friends and neighbors are the ones who will get shot at. Shot at by people who hate them to the core. Dead or captured Americans is a look that Der Dotard and Drinky Pete will not be able to joke away. It's coming, and sooner than you know ...
