Former Homeland Security Secretary and noted slayer of puppies Kristi Noem is drawing criticism after reports that, nearly two months after her firing, she appears to still be living in government housing typically reserved for top Coast Guard leadership.

Why? Because the regime oozes opportunistic corruption, from hoarding monogrammed coasters to latching onto free, upscale housing.

And security.

It's not beyond the pale to wonder whether MAGAJeebus' closest enablers - Noem is in that sty up to her eyeballs, to the point of actually covering up murder - may feel a compelling need for walling themselves off from normals for the pretty much the rest of their miserable lives. (As for being alert to the psychos factor, they might consider the case of former SecDef Robert McNamara's encounter with an unfan one night in 1972 on the Martha's Vineyard Ferry. Just being friendly, no charge.)

Kritis Noem has the eyes of a dead fish.

But for other reasons entirely, she thinks that she is so very special.

The woman had pretensions to be president.

Perhaps she thinks that squatting in this house can still advance them.
