A father of a trans daughter who has described his former views as being those of a "full-on-bigot" shares his story of personal growth and choosing love and acceptance over hate describes why he is suing a Missouri school district after they denied his daughter access to the bathroom that most closely aligns with her gender.

His story is touching but it's a sad reminder that some people only learn when the issue lands on their front door.
